  • West Hills Community College District Recognized for Innovation in Higher Education Award in Sacramento. West Hills was recognized with the award for its unique advance-registration innovation, Reg365, which was launched in 2014 and allows students to register for a full year of classes at once.  The honor comes with $2.5 million, which will be put toward further innovation including advances in distance education, professional development, student schedule planning and student success. WHC Coalinga President Carole Goldsmith, WHC Lemoore President Don Warkentin, Chancellor Frank Gornick and Vice Chancellor of Educational Services and Workforce Development Stuart Van Horn visited the capital to represent West Hills.
