Announcement

The West Hills Associate Degree Nursing Program application period is open beginning November 1, 2017 and closing February 1, 2018.  This application year will be for admission into the ADN program fall 2018 beginning August 2018.

The program will admit 24 traditional nursing students to begin the program fall 2018.

In addition, the program may admit 6 LVN-RN advance placement students who would advance place into the 2018 class graduating spring semester 2020.

The accepted LVN-RN Advance Placement students will tentatively attend a short 9 week skills competency/transition course offered during the last 9 weeks of the fall 2018 semester (3 units only).  This will be scheduled for October 15th 2018 through December 14th 2018, tentatively Mondays and Wednesdays. Advance Placement students would then be ready to join the class for spring 2019 semester and graduate in May 2020. See the document “LVN-RN advanced placement rotation.”

The program will not have a summer bridge program as in the past for LVN-RN students.  A smaller amount of LVN-RN students will be accepted this year for an advanced placement option only.

There will be only one application for all applicants.  Applicants who are current LVNs with an active license in good standing may indicate if they are interested in the advanced placement option, ADN full program option or both.
