High School Equivalency Options

General Education Development (GED)

The GED Exam is a proven pathway to complete your high school education.  It tests four subject areas: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies. One significant benefit of the GED is its widespread recognition and acceptance, however, it's important to note that exams are structured for computer testing.

Our FREE on-campus GED prep lab prepares students to successfully pass the 4 GED exams. You will have access to one-on-one instruction from faculty and tutors, workshops, practice tests, and preparation software.

Instruction and support is available in-person and online in both English and Spanish.

High School Equivalency Test (HiSET)

HiSET, known as a high school equivalency credential, is designed with you in mind. It test five subject areas: Language Arts (Reading), Language Arts (Writing), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The HiSET exam stands out for its flexibility as it offers both a computer and paper-pencil exam methods as well as expanded 5 exam modules seperating out Language Arts into two exams for Reading and Writing. 

For those who qualify financial support is available through the Adult Education Consortium, High School Equivalency Program (HEP), and the National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP).
