Outage Notice!

Two separate Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on key providers of core internet services today have caused widespread problems with many internet-based products and services (including myWestHills, myCourses (Canvas), Twitter, Spotify, Shopify, and other popular websites). The first incident started early this morning and ended at about 9:30 AM ET; the second began around 12:30 PM ET and is ongoing.

This outage affects users outside of our physical campus locations. If you are on campus, you may still login using our myWestHill login below. Please note that certain services such as myCourses (Canvas) will still be affected.

Problem Logging in?

To Login: Please note that your login is your myWestHills user name and Password. Your user name is the username@my.whccd.edu part in your email.

You may be asked to change your current password. If so please meet the following requirements when doing so:

  1. Be at least 8 characters long.
  2. Contain 3 of the following 4 categories:
    • Uppercase Letter
    • Lowercase Letter
    • Number
    • Symbol (only ! $ and #) - others will cause problems with the portal email web part.
  3. You cannot use a previous password, but you can add something to a previous password.
  4. Password cannot contain any part of the username
