Exam Details

There are four areas of study for the GED:

  • Reasoning through Language Arts
  • Mathematical Reasoning
  • Science
  • Social Studies

We recommend that each test be taken individually rather than two or more at once.

The registration process for the GED test can be completed using myGED, and test dates are offered weekly at proctoring sites.

  • Each exam is $35 (all four exams $140). MyGED offers a discount for students who do not pass the exam the first time.
  • The passing GED score is 145 in each of the four content modules (a score of 170 or above receives honors).
