PRIOR TO YOUR 1st SEMESTER AT Lemoore College (Lemoore College)
- Visit the Financial Aid Office to find out about financial assistance and possible college funding sources
- See a Counselor/Advisor and complete an Abbreviated Student Educational Plan
- Enroll in English and math classes (review the chart on page 10 for transferable English and Math courses)
1st SEMESTER AT Lemoore College
- Confirm your major
- Research careers to understand trends in your field of study and know what to expect
- Complete a Comprehensive Student Educational Plan (SEP)
- Attend college transfer fair and transfer related workshops (see calendar on page 22)
2nd SEMESTER AT Lemoore College
- Decide on your top 3 transfer institutions
- Meet with Transfer Counselor or 4-year college representative to understand university admission requirements
- Take advantage of free 4-year university campus tours provided by Coalinga College
- Check for changes in your future University’s admissions and/or program requirements
- Research scholarship and financial aid opportunities and attend related workshops
- Update FAFSA every year at the beginning of October to ensure your financial aid for the following year
THE YEAR BEFORE YOU TRANSFER/ 3rd SEMESTER AT Lemoore College
- Check for updated forms regarding General Education (GE) and major requirements every year
- Meet with your counselor/advisor and four-year college representative to verify that you are on track to transfer
- Attend application workshop and apply for admissions (see pages 14-18 for application filing period)
- Decide on housing options for your institution. Many universities have deadlines for dorm housing.
4th SEMESTER AT Lemoore College
- Check your new institutions email account and student portal on a daily basis for any updates
- CSU ONLY - Send first set of official transcripts when/if requested by your University
- UC ONLY - In January, complete the Work in Progress form at universityofCalifornia.edu
- CSU ONLY- Apply for Orientation fee deferment
- Submit UC Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) – Don’t forget to apply for fee waiver if applicable
- Attend transfer day at your four-year university (usually in spring semester)
