CD-012B Principles and Practices of Ec (3 Credits)
CD 012B Students will practice and demonstrate developmentally appropriate early childhood program planning and teaching competencies under the supervision of ECE/CD faculty and other qualified early education professionals. Students will utilize practical classroom experiences to make connections between theory and practice, develop professional behaviors, and build a comprehensive understanding of children and families. Child centered, play-oriented approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment; and knowledge of curriculum content areas will be emphasized as student teachers design, implement and evaluate experiences that promote positive development and learning for all young children.Requisites:Prerequisite(s): CD 005, CD 010, CD 012A, and CD 016 - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
Advisory(s): Negative TB test - Recommended to be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course, but is not required.
