West Hills College may award credit for high-level International Baccalaureate (IB) exams where a score of 5, 6, or 7 has been earned. Standard level examinations are not granted credit.

  1. Send your official IB transcript from the International Baccalaureate Organization to the registrar at the appropriate college.

  2. The transcript will be evaluated to determine if you achieved the minimum acceptable score on the IB examination.
  3. Grades and grade points will not be assigned to college credits earned through IB examinations.

  • There is no maximum number of units you may earn for IB exams. However, you must meet the WHCCD residency requirement for graduation.

  • Credit awarded for completion of IB exams is used in determining admissions eligibility at California State University per EO1036 and the University of California per UC Policy and IGETC Standards. However, colleges and universities have the discretion to accept/deny credit, limit the number of units applied toward majors, and set the cut scores for exams.
