Grant Process

The Grants Division is prepared to help you write your grant proposal and will submit that proposal for funding review on behalf of the district and its colleges. The timeline for this applications is critically important. As shown below in our Collaborative Grant Proposal Development and Submission timeline, the earlier we can collaborate on a proposal, the higher likelihood your proposal will be funded.

60-30 Days to Submission (High Probability)

  • Develop a work plan
  • Develop a budget
  • Identify collaborators and

  • Fill out Grant Intent Form (Green Sheet) and route for campus reviewDraft all project components
Grants Dept. support
  • Draft grant skeleton
  • Set up communal workspace
  • Work with college to refine budget and work plan
  • Provide research assistance
  • Provide informed narrative input
  • Review drafted materials and provide feedback
  • Discuss project impacts with college cabinets
  • Identify evaluator
  • Route Grant Intent Form for District approval

Last Minute "Hail Mary" Submission
7 or Less Days to Submission
PD/PI/Team will
  • Submit signed Grant Intent Form (Green Sheet)
  • Provide verification college approvals are complete
  • Provide verification an accountant has reviewed proposed budget
  • Secure letters of commitment/support
  • Send final documents (narrative, budget, references, support letters, work
    plan, sustainability plan, attachments, etc.) for review, processing, upload,
    and submission
  • Ensure institutional data meets ARIEP office standards
Grants Dept. support
  • Finalize Grant Intent Form
  • Provide administrative quality and compliance review of final documents
  • Package and upload documents for electronic submission
  • Obtain wet signatures
  • Compile/mail hardcopy documents
