Cohort #1 represents leaders from Fresno City College, Coalinga College and Lemoore College.
The Central/Mother Lode Regional Ag Leadership Cohort is hosted at Lemoore College. It is open to students across the Central Valley who are interested in enhancing their leadership skills. Our cohort experience is designed enhance all agriculture education programs in the Central Valley.
Our Ag leader students will be introduced to more than a dozen leaders in the Agriculture industry. Student leaders will work closely with these industry leaders to find solutions to the pressing issues in California Agriculture.
As a part of the cohort, student teams will work together on a project to address contemporary issues impacting agriculture.
Student teams will present these projects to leaders in Sacramento in May. This regionally-funded trip to Sacramento includes a tour of the state capitol, meetings with state lawmakers, and tours of agricultural businesses that have become leaders in their field.
This blog has been developed to showcase our Ag leaders and their experiences. Each week new information about the class and what students are learning will be posted.
