The creativity and talent of students from across Kings County are set to shine at the much-anticipated Lemoore College Student T-Shirt Design Art Show, hosted by Plain Insane Graphix in collaboration with Lemoore College S.P.L.A.A.T. (Students Promoting and Learning Art Appreciation Techniques). The event, scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, at the Lemoore College Student Union from 5-9 pm, promises a vibrant celebration of art, identity, and community.
Months of preparation and anticipation have led to this moment, as the 2024 Student
T-Shirt Design Contest attracted submissions from a diverse range of students, from
6th grade to college level. This year's competition theme, "Reflections of Identity:
Us, Them, Me," encouraged participants to explore the nuances of individual and community
identity through their artwork.
"We were blown away by the level of creativity and thoughtfulness displayed in the
submissions," said David Brooks, Art Instructor at Lemoore College. "The designs not
only showcase artistic talent but also reflect important themes of unity, diversity,
and self-expression."
The art show will feature the works of 20 talented artists whose designs will be printed
onto t-shirts, turning their art into wearable masterpieces. Attendees can expect
a rich design tapestry that celebrates art, individuality, community, and culture.
