Resource Wednesday: PUENTE

The Puente Project is a nationally recognized program that has improved the college-going rate of tens of thousands of California’s educationally underrepresented students since 1981. Students who are enrolled in the PUENTE program work closely with a Counselor, English Professor, and Mentor to better prepare for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.

PUENTE offers guaranteed enrollment in specific English and Student Development courses in the Fall and Spring semesters, free books, and transfer support. Students enrolled in PUENTE also take free field trips to universities and attend off-campus cultural events.

For more information, fill out the interest form on PUENTE’s resource page.
