How to Apply for Scholarships at West Hills
The President’s Scholars Program provides free tuition and book expenses to all California high school graduates with a 3.5 GPA or higher who plan on attending West Hills College Coalinga or West Hills College Lemoore.
West Hills offers a wide variety of additional grants and scholarships to students funded by both our institution and outside organizations. We encourage all students to browse our database and, if eligible, to apply.

Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
SEOG Grants are federal funded grants awarded to undergraduates with exceptional financial need, students with the lowest expected family contributions, and gives priority to students who receive Pell Grants.
Each participating school will receive enough money to pay the Pell Grants of its eligible students. However, there’s no guarantee every eligible student will be able to receive an SEOG. Students at each school will be awarded these funds based on availability at that school.

Cal Grants are state funded monetary grants given to students to help pay for college expenses.
Submit the FAFSA between January 1 and March 2 and submit a verified Cal Grant GPA anytime between November and the March 2 deadline. If you meet the income, eligibility, and GPA requirements, the grant is yours.

California CHAFEE Grant
The California Chafee Grant Program is federally funded and gives money to current or former foster youth to use for career and technical training or college courses.

The FAFSA is available in all of our Financial Aid Offices or online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
