With issues about the earth’s natural resources making headlines every day, the field of geology has never been more important than it is now.

Learn about the physical aspects of the earth and its precious resources as well as human impact on the earth’s ecosystems. Use your analytical skills to learn to solve geology-related problems as you earn an Associate of Science for Transfer (AS-T) degree in Geology.

A career in geology can include jobs as a researcher, teacher, government worker or professionals in the fields of mining, petroleum, surveying, engineering and environmental consulting.

Students who complete this degree are guaranteed admission into the CSU system, but not to a specific institution or academic program. Students transferring to a CSU institution will be required to complete 60 units after transfer to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field of study.
