Do you have a fascination with the past? Do you want to know all the details about how historical events happened or delve more into a topic you're interested in? Then, a History Associate Degree for Transfer from Lemoore College might be perfect for you!

In this program, you will learn about the History of the United States, world history, cultures, and more. You will also prepare yourself for upper division academic work and for a number of different upper division degrees.

Lemoore College’s History Degree is an Associate of Arts for Transfer (AA-T) program, which means you can seamlessly transfer to a California State University school once you’ve completed the program. Although the program doesn’t guarantee admission to a specific institution or academic program, it is the first major step toward earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology or a related field of study.

Program Options

The Associate in Arts in History (AA-T) curriculum is designed to provide the opportunity to achieve an associate degree in the student’s area of specialization. Upon completion of the degree requirement, students will begin preparation for careers such as teaching, human services, journalism, politics, public relations, business, and public administration. While a baccalaureate degree is recommended preparation for those considering professional careers in this field, the completion of this suggested program will demonstrate commitment to the field, and provide comprehensive preparation for upper division work.
