About CLEP and DANTES

CLEP exams allow you to get college credit for the skills you already have. You can study for an take the exams on your own time. A CLEP exam costs $89 and a passing score on a CLEP exam can earn you three or more college credits. It’s a great way to get general education requirements out of the way.

The Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) helps Service members and Veterans pursue their educational goals and earn degrees or certifications both during and after their service.

CLEP and DANTES are just two of Lemoore College’s several Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) offerings.

  • Lemoore College allows a maximum of 24 semester units of credit which can be earned for successful completion of the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) - General Examinations and/or Subject Examinations at the 50th percentile or above.
  • Lemoore College does not accept any English CLEP/DANTES exams. 
  • Students must be currently registered and complete 12 units or residency at Lemoore College before credit is posted to their transcripts.
