Course Classification

Courses numbered 1-49 — are baccalaureate level (transfer) courses. Courses thus numbered are transferable to four- year institutions. Agriculture courses are designed to parallel the work taught in similar courses at California Polytechnic State University or at California State University, Fresno but may not carry the same number.

Courses numbered 50-99 — are associate degree level courses. Courses thus numbered are primarily for the student who does not plan to continue his/her education beyond the community college level; however, occupational education courses may transfer according to articulation agreements. Complete information on articulation is available through the Counseling Center.

Courses Numbered 100-201 — are non-transfer and are non-degree applicable; they are skill building or remedial.

STUDEV 002 will empower you with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary for successful career/ life planning in a diverse and dynamic world. Join us as we take you beyond traditional career planning to address the unique challenges and opportunities presented by diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. You will have the opportunity to discover personal strengths, values, and interests through self-assessment tools and understand how your identity relates to your career/life planning and educational goals.

Ensuring Transfer Success
STUDEV 020 will help you navigate the process of transferring from community college to university. Through active participation in research and planning, you will consider key criteria for selecting your next college/university and major, identify the proper preparatory courses for general education and your intended major, and learn of opportunities for guaranteed admission to public universities within California (and beyond). By the end of this course, you will be well-prepared for a successful transfer to a four-year college or university.
