Social and Behavioral Science students learn a variety of theories and perspectives, behavioral and sociological concepts, historical context with respect to particular times, places, events and significant figures, production
and distribution analysis, and American and comparative government.

Coalinga College offers students both a Liberal Arts Area of Emphasis for Social and Behavioral Science Associate of Arts degree and a Social Work local certificate.

* This program option is not eligible for federal student aid funding. Students who pursue this program option may seek financial assistance from the California Promise Grant which can help pay for enrollment fees if eligible.
