Students who pay into the mandatory Student Representation Fee or the optional Student Activity Fee make up the Associated Student Body at WHCL.
Benefits of paying the Student Activity Fee:
Students that pay the optional $10 Student Activity fee at the beginning of every semester are eligible to receive an ASG sticker, which has several associated benefits including:
- Discount card to local businesses (over $500 in savings)
- Access to free events and promotional gifts,
- Discount tickets to ASG sponsored special events
- Opportunity to participate and support student approved clubs and organizations
- Free food at ASG sponsored events where food distributed
The Student Activity fee benefits West Hills College Lemoore students by providing funding for a variety of student life events, student clubs and organizations, and the Associated Student Government (ASG). This fee once paid is non-refundable. Students who opted to pay this fee can get their sticker at the Eagle Help Desk in the Student Union. Once you get your ASG Sticker, stop by room 941 in the Student Union to received you discount card.
Benefits of paying the Student Representation Fee:
Students who pay the mandatory $2 Student Representation fee supports student representation before city, county, state and/or federal government. This fee is a charge in accordance with Assembly Bill 1504, where all students who register on or after January 1, 2020 are charged the $2 Student Representation Fee.
This fee is separate from the current Student Activity Fee, which supports services, student activities, and clubs.
How to support ASG?
Students can support ASG by opting in during registering for classes. Students will need to log into their Portal and go to the Registration link. Students will be prompted to considered opting in to consider the $10 Student Activity. Students clicking the box are agreeing to support ASG by agreeing to pay the $10 fee. Students can pay this fee at the Eagle Help Desk located in the Student Union.
