Welcome to West Hills College Coalinga!
On behalf of the faculty, staff, and administration it is my pleasure to welcome you to West Hills College Coalinga (WHCC). WHCC is an accredited, Hispanic Serving Institute (HIS), and comprehensive community college that has been serving the educational needs of the west side of the San Joaquin Valley for more than 80 years. WHCC is more than a collection of buildings. It is a diverse community of educators and learners where there is a place for everyone. At WHCC there is a place for you.
We are grateful you have chosen to pursue your educational journey at WHCC. Whether you are just beginning, returning after an absence from education, continuing, or seeking classes for transfer to a university and further your career, we are here for you. We have a wide range of educational programs and support services to assist you along your path. We provide a solid foundation in the sciences, mathematics, and general education with pathways to complete an associate degree, certificate and/or transfer to a four-year college or university where you may earn a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. We also work closely with industry partners to develop job training programs and pathways to employment.
At WHCC you can expect to expand your horizons. We encourage student creativity and development through a wide range of programs and services that facilitate student success. We offer a variety of athletic and campus life activities including residential on-campus living. At WHCC you can get to know your professors and staff. You will have the opportunity to meet individuals from around the world and across the United States.
The information in this catalog is designed to assist you with your educational goals and it includes important information on academic policies, course offerings, associate degree and certificate programs, and support services. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with this information and please do not hesitate to approach any one of our faculty, staff, or administrators with any question.
